Boutique Hotels

Charming and aesthetic — these accommodations add an extra sparkle to your nights away. With many beautiful boutique hotels scattered throughout this state, here are some on our list to visit:

Lincoln Hotel, Biddeford — Located in a former textile mill, The Lincoln Hotel’s charm comes from the braid between historically functional architecture and modern aesthetics. Biddeford makes a great weekend trip, so grab a room here, explore the food scene, and finish with a night cap in their hotel bar!

White Barn Inn, Kennebunk — Tucked into the trees of Southern Maine, the White Barn Inn sure is timeless. With incredible menus offered throughout the day, there is no shortage of things to enjoy!

Blair Hill Inn, Greenville — With breathtaking views of Moosehead Lake, The Blair Hill Inn is a beautiful home base for both serenity and adventure. With a world class restaurant inside, you’ll never want to leave!

Bed & Breakfasts

What’s better than sharing a homemade breakfast in a cozy dining room and picking the innkeeper’s brain for things to do in the area?

Waterford Inne, Waterford — When a farmhouse transforms into an inn, there will be no shortage of character and charm. And with an amazing restaurant accompanying the accommodations, you’ll be reminded how close you are to every part of the food system.

Schoppee Farm, Machias — Located in Downeast Maine, Schoppee Farm is a real retreat from the hustle and bustle. Stay in a restored farmhouse and enjoy simple, local fare on premise while you relax into the simplicity of Machias.

The Brooklin Inn, Brooklin — If you’re looking for a Downeast retreat, this is your spot. From the speakeasy in the basement to the breakfast room off the second floor porch, you’ll find yourself enjoying every nook of the Brooklin Inn during your stay.

The Mill, Dover Foxcroft — While not a traditional B&B, The Mill has the best of both worlds. With beautiful private rooms in a converted textile mill and a delicious cafe downstairs, you’ll enjoy the serenity of the flowing Piscataquis River and all the surrounding nature!

Elevated Motel

Traditionally, roadside motels weren’t more than a place to lay your head for a handful of hours, but there are plenty around Maine that have upgraded their presence to offer a great vibe at an accessible price!

Lincolnville Motel, Lincolnville — The beautiful grounds and pool of the Lincolnville Motel make it fun for kids of all ages. If you’re looking for a little escape up the coast, be sure to dog ear this spot!

The Tidewater, Vinalhaven — The Tidewater is the perfect island getaway! Right in the heart of Vinalhaven, enjoy exploring the islands that make Maine so special!

Seascape Motel, Belfast — Just past Belfast, you’ll find the Seascape Motel. With beaches, forests, and cute towns near by, this is a great location for a family vacation.

Yachtsman Hotel, Kennebunkport — Right along the water in Kennebunkport, you’ll enjoy watching boats come and go from your room at the Yachtsman Hotel! With plenty of shopping and fine dining to do nearby, this hotel is the perfect home base for a Maine vacation!

Glamping

While we love camping, we understand that not everyone has the equipment for a comfortable night under the stars. Thankfully, there are many great options around Maine that give the experience of camping. With amenities like canvas tents, kitchens, toilets, and campfires — it’s the best of both worlds.
