Old Speck — 1/14 Maine Winter Summit Series

For the first peak of the Maine Winter Summits Series, we headed up to Grafton Notch in order to climb 4,180ft Old Speck. Maine's 4th highest summit, this mountain is no slouch, but the ~8mile snowshoe still ranks among the easier peaks to reach on this project. We were graced with a perfect day — bluebird conditions and mild winter temperatures, as well as one of the most rime-ice caked summits I've seen. Follow along on this adventure, and be sure to subscribe and stay tuned for the rest of this series!
